In a recent interview, political consultant and former sports journalist Michelle Tafoya criticized left-wing sports radio host Dan Le Batard for “ambushing” just because he has different political views.
Tafoya said Le Batard contacted him and asked if he would appear on his podcast to discuss his sports career and current projects. Instead, most of the interview focused on Tafoya’s conservative politics.
“I was recently invited to a podcast with the words: ‘We want to talk about your amazing career and your new podcast. Do you mind if we talk to you for 30 or 40 minutes?” According to Outkick, Tafoya told Fox News host Greg Gutfeld.
“Someone I know from my past. So I said okay. Yes, when I hit it a second time, BAM was ambushed with the words, “You’re against the CRT, you’re racist.” You can’t read Florida law without being homophobic—so I was ambushed,” he added.
The podcast should warm up on Thursday:
For example, in one lawsuit, Tafoya defended Florida’s law on parental education rights.
“I’ve read what you call the Don’t Say Gay Law, and nowhere in this law there’s such a thing as calling it gay. I think we put that sign wrong, Tafoya told Le Batard and his team.
“Not everything needs to be taught in school, and most can be learned at home. And if parents decide and vote for people who want to represent their opinions: “You know, I want to do it my own way at home, because we have our own societal values,” he said.
Le Batard tried to claim that he was a political centrist. But if he was really thinking, he was just deceiving himself. And he repeated this persistently in the interview, “I think I’m in the middle.”
Tafoya disagrees, “In that case, I wouldn’t say you’re on the far left. And I won’t – I don’t know who saw me on the far right. So I am a supporter of freedom of choice. I don’t know how I can be right.”
“I am about being a financial conservative who really wants America to come together and for people to reach their potential and not be told that they are oppressed or that they are cruel,” he said.
“It makes me a little sad. I want law and order so that people are not victims,” he said.
Tafoya, of course, has been attacked by the media before. Just a few months ago, the media was angry with him for his stance on Critical Race Theory.
Despite claiming to be “in the middle”, Le Batard has always been a solid leftist. Just last year, for example, he laughed when an NBA player who didn’t kneel during the national anthem broke his knee.
