Algerian Hussein Ben Ayad, the star of the Tunisian coast, announced his official departure from the team after the end of the match against Esperance in the penultimate round of the Tunisian League.
Bin Ayada said: “This was my last match against Étoile du Sahel. I regret leaving with a red card as I was offended by the referee and video assistant referee var.”
He added: “I did not engage in any unsportsmanlike manner and this is inconsistent with my upbringing and morals. I have no explanation for the referee’s return to this kick, other than that he wanted to settle the score after giving him a penalty for us.”
And he concluded: “It is a great honor for me that I carry the colors of this great club, and the star is sick and does not die.”
The Algerian international was eliminated during his team’s match between Etoile du Sahel and Esperance, which ended in a positive draw with one goal for each team in the 9th round of the coronation cycle.
Bin Ayada managed to equalize with the coastal star in the 75th minute from a penalty kick before the player himself received a red card from the referee for an immoral sign during a goal celebration.
