Report: The NFL is looking for someone who doesn’t have a specific ban for Deshawn Watson

There’s been no official word on the NFL’s planned penalty to Browns quarterback Deshawn Watson, but unofficial news is starting to heat up.

Article by Andrew Beaton Wall Street Magazine On Saturday, the NFL claimed it wanted a “permanent ban that would last at least a year.”

The indefinite portion of the sentence sought reportedly reflects the league’s desire to be flexible if further lawsuits are filed against Watson.

March 2023 is the two-year deadline set by law for the filing of additional claims.

By magazineNFL v. Watson will focus on five cases that the league believes has extensive and convincing evidence for “Watson’s destructive behavior.”

Pro Football Talk reports that the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) will defend Watson and challenge discipline as they are legally required to do so.

Off season, the Browns signed Watson to a 5-year, $230 million contract. if magazine The NFL’s alleged disciplinary report is accurate and enforced, it will miss at least a year out of the deal. While many believe that Cleveland signed Watson, they believe he is at least a year old.
