The journalist Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Chelsea have signed a $66 million contract with Manchester City to see Raheem Sterling join the Blues. Sterling, who signs a 5-year deal, will earn around £300,000 a week, making him Chelsea’s highest paid player.

Vinicius extends contract with Real Madrid

Real Madrid star Brazilian Vinicius Junior has signed a new contract with the Royal Club for the next 5 years. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano says the two sides “reached a verbal agreement last month” which has finally been translated into the form of a new contract until 2027.

Cameras in players’ rooms at the World Cup

According to press reports, the International Football Association (FIFA) is exploring the possibility of placing cameras in the players’ dressing rooms during the 2022 FIFA World Cup. A FIFA source told Radio Monte Carlo: “This is a project that is on the right track, but no. It is fully completed, there is a framework and it could be implemented at the World Cup.”

Real Madrid have set a sale price for first-team winger Marco Asensio to agree to his departure this summer’s Mercato. The European champions have set a €50m deal to negotiate the sale of Asensio, but there is no official offer yet.

English club Manchester City, champions of England, have announced the jersey number of their Norwegian striker Erling Haaland, with whom he will play for the heavenly club. Manchester City, via their official Twitter account, posted a video of the Norwegian striker choosing the number 9 shirt and the Norwegian said: “See you soon”.

Belgian rider Vot van Aert won Stage 8 of the Tour de France on Saturday in Lausanne, while reigning Slovenian champion Tade Pogacar retained his yellow jersey in third place.
