Al Ittihad goalkeeper Ahmed Yahya has announced that he has retracted his decision to retire from football.

Yahya announced his retirement from football in the past few days after Al Ittihad fans attacked after five goals scored against him in the Ceramics match.

Ahmed Yahya wrote on his personal Facebook page: “In gratitude and appreciation to the Egyptian football fans with all their associations in general, as well as to Mohamed Moseli, President of the Alexandrian Union Club and its Dear Board of Directors and in particular, to the fans of the ancient Alexandrian club, for their support and support during the last period, and in gratitude and respect for the opinion of the majority of the athletes, my fellow players, loyal fans, close friends and my beloved family, who advised and directed me to reconsider my decision to leave football in the current period, I have decided to reverse my decision to retire from football and take my time with this decision in the difficult psychological conditions that I have gone through.”

He concluded by saying, “We take this opportunity to express to all of you my great appreciation, love and gratitude to all who, with God’s help, pardoned my late brother Said Yahya, asking God for more help and success for you.”
