In recent days, rescue teams have accessed Spanish underground car parks that were flooded as Storm DANA passed through the country. They always go as a team, with diving suits on and also gloves, flashlights, helmets and masks (sometimes gas masks). At the end they go through a “cleaning” process with the aim of avoiding possible diseases.
Since Valencia was hit by the storm, the Spanish Civil Guard has shared on social networks several videos and photographs of the work that different entities are carrying out in Valencia.
This Wednesday was sharedIn one of the Civil Guard videos, how the search was carried out in an underground parking lot that ended up flooded. Upon entering these spaces, the authorities begin by “checking the air quality,” says the publication of this entity. To do this, use gas detectors and other equipment.
Along the way, they check the existence of bodies in all the cars, although to do so they have to use tools to break the windows. In the end, all members of the search team go through a decontamination process to avoid any contagion, since the water in these garages has been stagnant for several days.
