Rais M’Boli has threatened to leave the Algerian goalkeeper and not be called up to the squad scheduled for next September after failing to sign with a new club this summer’s Mercato.
Mboli pulled out of the Saudi deal during the current summer transfer period following the end of his contract with the side he spent 4 and a half years with, so far without being signed by any new club, knowing he was close to moving to the newly promoted Persian bay. to the Saudi Arabian Premier League, except that the deal fell through due to his financial requirements, which were in excess of the club’s offer.
Now the 36-year-old is facing a departure from the Algerian national team in a scenario that only happened once, more than 12 years ago.
And national team coach Jamal Belmadi previously confirmed he would not include Mboli unless he is playing for a team that plays at the mainstream levels, which has not yet happened.
Belmadi will either have to follow through on his threat or back down for a goalkeeper who has relied heavily on him since taking over.
