“It’s not finished yet, but I don’t want to tell you that I don’t know anything about the negotiations. The papers are pending, I hope that everything is ready before noon and that Marc is our player. He is a fantastic player, he is young, he is hungry to win and he is very intelligent. He can play in several positions within our system and that is why we hope that the transfer will be completed soon,” the German coach had said in the morning prior to Chelsea’s debut in the Premier League, this Saturday and against Everton.
The transfer values have not yet been revealed but, according to the English press, the blues they have shelled out around €60m, making the 24-year-old winger the biggest sale in Brighton history.
