Saudi club Al-Nasr and Egypt goalkeeper Mohamed Abu Jabal have decided to appeal to FIFA to resolve the dispute between them after the failure of the contract between the two parties.

And the former Zamalek goalkeeper said in a statement that he would appeal to FIFA, arguing that Al-Nasr decided to abruptly terminate the contract between them for illogical reasons, demanding, in addition to financial compensation, to receive all the amounts due to him.

Abu Jabal clarified in a statement that his contract with Zamalek expired on 30 June and he was eligible to sign for any other club as a free player, adding that he signed with Al Nasr starting in August.

He added that Al-Nasr refused to recognize the contract and deemed it invalid for illogical reasons, noting that the club refused a financial settlement after receiving part of the contract fees.

For his part, Al-Nasr responded with a statement in which he confirmed that he would file a complaint with FIFA to recover $450,000 from the Egyptian goalkeeper.

On the reason for the invalidity of the contract, Al-Nasr said that he discovered that the goalkeeper’s contract with his club Al-Masri expires on August 30, and not at the end of July, as agreed.

He added that the guard and his agent “did not provide any evidence that he was not involved in another contract, and after contacting the Egyptian Federation to verify some information, Al-Nasr decided to terminate the contract in order to avoid committing a serious legal offense.” violation following the unsuccessful granting of a deadline to Abu Jabal to resolve his situation.”
