The DP World Tour announced this Friday the 16th edition of the Portuguese Mastersthe only Portuguese tournament on the European Tour, between October 27 and 30, at Par 72 of the Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course, in Vilamoura.
Endowed with 1.75 million euros, the Portugal Masters will put an end to the “Iberian swing” of the final phase of the season, after three weeks of tests in Spainwith the celebration of the Spanish Open, the Andalucía Masters and the Mallorca Golf Open.
“The Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course has provided immense sports drama and enthusiasm over the years. Therefore, we are delighted to return to this field for the sixteenth year in a row. as the setting for the Portugal Masterssaid Ben Cowen, tournament business manager in the dp world Route.
Stefano Saviotti, President of the hotel unit that will host the competition, did not hide his satisfaction with the option of the DP World Tour keeping the tournament on the Algarve route.

The current champion of Masters of Portugal It is the Belgian Thomas Pieters, who a year ago won at the Victoria Golf Course with 19 shots under par and two ahead of the Frenchman Matthieu Pavon and the Danes Lucas Bjerregard, winner in 2017, and Nicolai Hojgaard.
