Barcelona president Juan Laporta is still dreaming of signing Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva of Portugal at this summer’s Mercato.

Barcelona signed 6 new deals, Pablo Touré, Robert Lewandowski, Rafinha, Christensen, Franck Kissier and Jules Conde, while the Catalan club managed to sign up five players besides the French due to the wage crisis and the Financial Fair Play Law.

And the Spanish newspaper Sport reported that Barcelona had the financial resources to sign Bernardo Silva without any problems.

Laporta contacted the Portuguese and said that they would sign him even if the Dutchman Frenkie de Jong did not leave.

Laporta expects De Jong to leave before Mercato ends as Manchester United continue their pursuit of the Dutchman.

The newspaper pointed out that Barcelona would face the only obstacle – the amount Manchester City want, while the Catalan club wants to pay just 65 million euros.
