Press reports confirmed that Al Masry Al Portsaidi had been fined $275,000 in favor of Tunisian coach Moin El Shaabani.

The International Football Association (FIFA) recognized the right of the Tunisian coach to this amount after Al-Masri terminated the contract with Al-Shabani, but the coach refused to waive his financial contributions.

Al-Shabani took over Al-Masri earlier this season and led him to the quarter-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup before leaving at the hands of Moroccan side Berkan Renaissance.

Ali Al-Tarabili, the treasurer of the Al-Masry Al-Portsaidi club, is reported to have stated earlier: “Al-Shabani manipulated us and shied away from sitting with us after he asked not to continue his mission with the team because of bad results.

He added: “We had attempts to resolve the crisis in Moin al-Shabani peacefully, but we were surprised that he filed a formal complaint in order to receive the remainder of his overdue contributions, which are estimated at two months’ salary, in addition to the Penalty Clause. which does not exceed 45 thousand dollars, and he demands 225 thousand.
