Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah could equal or break scoring records in a game that will take him against Manchester United in the third round of the Premier League tonight. Salah is the only player in history to score against United in three consecutive visits to Old Trafford in all competitions. He has scored six goals in his last three matches against United and seven in his last four league and cup matches. If Salah scores, he will become only the second Liverpool player to score in four consecutive league games against United. Moreover, he will be Liverpool’s top scorer in all matches against United, with nine goals so far and a draw with Steven Gerrard. In addition, Salah (119 goals) could equal or surpass Gerrard (120 goals) as the club’s second top scorer in Premier League history.
