Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier has refused to stress his side’s strong chances of winning the Champions League.

“I will not consider PSG as a candidate for the Champions League, because this is a statement of disrespect for the rest of the opponents,” he said at a press conference.

He noted: “Each year, 8 or 9 clubs claim the title of champion, and in the end they do not win, because there are surprises and incredible scenarios.”

He emphasized: “Of course we have ambitions to win the title, whether we are title contenders or not, but if I need an answer to a question, I will say: I don’t think so.”

And he added: “The best players in the world participate in this tournament, so it is difficult to win it.”

And he continued: “We will start against Juventus, they are a great team, and their coach has a lot of experience in the Champions League atmosphere and a strong defensive team that has only conceded two goals since the start of the season. and it’s hard to create opportunities to score in front of him because he’s kind of grouped in defence, but I trust my team’s ability and we’ll work to beat them.”
