Barcelona defender Jules Conde has confirmed that he is not opposed to playing at right-back, as he did in his first game with the team, although he prefers to play in his position in central defence.

At a press conference on the eve of Barcelona’s first Champions League match against Czech side Viktoria Pilsen, the French defender confirmed that he had done his best in both positions.

He said: “I feel comfortable with Javi. It does not bother me to play full back, but my position is the center of defense, I prefer to play in it, but if the coach puts me in the full-back position, I will comply with what he asks.

As for his state of health after missing the first two rounds due to the restrictions of the “financial game” in the league, the former Sevilla player confirmed that he dealt with this issue “calmly”.

Regarding tomorrow’s match against Viktoria Pilsen at Spotify Camp Nou, Conde noted that the competition in the Champions League is wonderful and exciting.

He concluded: “This is an important tournament, the team has a lot of room for development, and the coach is still injecting his ideas into the team. There are things that need to be improved, but we have a complex team that has a lot of quality and a desire to compete.”
