Football coach shot in front of school trying to break up fight

Vallejo High School Defense Coordinator Joe Pastrana was shot while trying to break up a fight that broke out around 3:40 p.m. Tuesday afternoon outside a high school in Vallejo, California.

Vallejo Times-Herald / MSN reports that Pastrana was shot in the hip. The injury is not life-threatening.

The suspect, believed to have shot the “non-student” Pastrana, fled in a black Audi.

A video posted by Henry Lee of KTVU allegedly reflects the event:

Vallejo is located about 30 miles north of San Francisco.
