Ten Pennsylvania high school students were accused of sexual harassment in a harassment case involving the school’s football team.
Middletown High’s football season was canceled in August after a cell phone video showing serious cases of harassment at the school went viral. .
The newspaper states that Superintendent Chelton Hunter told parents that an investigation into the school found that the harassment was “more common and affecting more students” than previously known.
Administrators later canceled the school’s football season.
Now the police have been added to the case.
Lower Swatara County Police and Dauphin County District Prosecutor’s Criminal Investigation Bureau launched an investigation into the harassment video. Dauphin County District Attorney Francis T. Chado announced Wednesday that ten students have been charged.
According to TMZ Sports, Chado said in a statement, “Two students, both seventeen years old, have been charged with multiple criminal attempts at involuntary sexual misconduct, indecent assault, unlawful restraint, simple assault, and harassment.” Said.
Investigators added that six students aged 14 to 17 were victims of harassment. But as many as six people may have been victims, but did not want to participate in the case.
