As part of the first round of the Doha Avenue Basketball Tournament, the Lebanese team Al Hikma defeated their Qatari counterpart Al Sadd 66-49 in a match that took place at Al Gharafa Stadium.
The first quarter between the two teams was close in scoring despite the Lebanese team’s slight lead, but the Qatari team managed to keep up with coach Joe Ghattas’ men and finish the quarter 17-17.
In the second quarter, Al-Hikma’s team controlled the quarter somewhat and widened the gap by reducing the performance of the Qatari team, which scored only two points in the quarter, and the first half ended with Al-Hikma. Hikma leads with a score of 31-19.
After a break in the first half, the Al Hikma team continued to shine in the third quarter, taking advantage of the onslaught of the Qatari team, who tried to close the gap, but the Lebanese team significantly increased the lead, reaching 18 points at the end of the quarter, with a score of 49-31.
In the last quarter, Al-Sadd of Qatar tried to reduce the danger of the Lebanese team and close the difference, but the wards of coach Joe Ghattas managed to finish the match in their favor, 66-49.
