The draw for the final of the African Cup of Nations, which will be held in Algiers from January 13 to February 4, 2023, has taken place.
The Morocco national team, the winner of the title of the last draw, fell into group C along with Ghana, Madagascar and Sudan.
It is noteworthy that Tunisia decided not to participate in the African Cup of Nations for locals, as it focused on preparing the team for the 2022 World Cup and the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers for the World Cup.
The draw was as follows:
Group A: Algeria – Mozambique – Ethiopia – Libya.
Group B: Senegal – Côte d’Ivoire – Uganda – Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Group C: Morocco (defining champions) – Ghana – Madagascar – Sudan.
Group D: Mauritania – Angola – Mali.
Group E: Niger-Congo-Cameroon.
