It was born in 2003, it was demolished in 2015, it began to be rebuilt in 2016, it was inaugurated again in December 2020. The Estadio Ahmad bin Ali Al Thani, emir of Qatar between 1960 and 1972, has less than two decades but more history. What about all those who will be at the World Cup in Qatar, with a particularity that makes a difference in the level of sustainability and future in the medium/long term: the reconstruction of the venue, which went from 21,282 to 44,740 spectators (a little more reduced in the final phase). , more than 80% of the remains of the old stadium were reused with the trees replaced around it.

The regular home of Al-Rayyan SC, who sets the tone for the red and black colors on the seats in the stands, Ahmad bin Ali Al Thani is located in Al-Rayyan, considered the gateway to the desert and with a railway connection from the city, and reflects this same influence on the façade with the replica of dunes between the importance of the family, the beauty of the desert and the local traditional commerce.

When the World Cup ends, the stadium will again have a capacity of 21,000 spectators, with the shopping center inside The Mall of Qatar which will be reinforced later by other infrastructures.
