A famous professor, St. Leo’s University, St. Florida, Leo was arrested on charges of possession of child pornography.
Professor Steven Kstulentz has been charged twice with deliberately viewing child pornography and with possession of ten pieces of child pornography, the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
The sheriff’s office also noted that “Kistulenz is currently working as Director of the Creative Writing Master’s Program and Associate Professor of English at Saint Leo University.”
Pinellas County said, “Detectives began their investigation after receiving information from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) that child abuse materials were uploaded via the social media/messaging app Kik.” he added. Sheriff’s Office.
“Detectives identified the suspect, 55-year-old Steven Kistülenz, through various investigative methods,” the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.
Authorities also added that they had received a search warrant for Kistülenz’s home, where they confiscated his electronic devices, and that “additional charges will be brought after the forensic examination of the electronic devices is completed.”
The sheriff’s office added that the professor admitted to owning the Kik account in question and “receiving and sending child pornography files.”
Kistülenz, who was arrested on 17 May, is currently detained in Pinellas County Prison.
Saint Leo University responded to Kistülenz’s arrest by saying, “It will not communicate with the students,” adding, “We are waiting for more information as this issue is being investigated.” Tampa Bay Times.
The report said the professor’s biography on the university’s website was deleted. Kistülenz was put on administrative leave and his entrance to the campus was suspended.
Kistülenz became the latest teacher to be accused of child pornography.
Last week, Virginia high school teacher Christine Kniesner was charged with possession of child pornography following a recently launched investigation.
In March, a Missouri elementary school teacher was arrested on charges of possession of child pornography.
In December, Louisiana State University (LSU) professor Gerald Myers was placed on administrative leave after being arrested on multiple charges, including child pornography, animal abuse and possession of marijuana.
