WhatsApp announced a big change to its chat app last month, and it’s now available to everyone.
This big change now takes effect by doubling the number of people you can add to Group Chats.
This means users can now include 512 contacts instead of 256 when doing a group chat. According to the messaging service work team, this support was added due to feedback from fans of the popular app.
To check if your WhatsApp has been updated, just start a new group chat and then select the “Add participant” setting at the top of the screen. If you see 0/512, you know you have an updated version of the app. If you still see 256 participants, be sure to update WhatsApp via the Android and Apple app stores.
WhatsApp recently added two more features to its platform, including the ability to send larger files.
Until recently, users could only attach files with a size of 100 MB, but now it has been increased to 2 GB. This means it is now easier to send videos and large files via WhatsApp.
WhatsApp said: “You can now send files within WhatsApp, up to 2GB in size at a time, protected by end-to-end encryption. This is an increase from the previous 100MB limit and we think it will be useful for collaboration. ”
Added “WhatsApp” reactions now. This change is almost identical to other Apple chat services like iMessage; Users can now quickly superimpose emoji on each chat.
To add a reaction, simply press and hold the message. Then you will see six reactions appear on the screen: thumbs up, love heart, smiley face, shocked face, sad face, gratitude, and prayer.
If you want to change or delete the emoji, tap and hold the same message again and make your edits.
