“The offer made by Mo’Nique is solely a ‘promotional offer’ that is expected to continue negotiations by Netflix and Mo’Nique that are likely to result in an increase in the fee offered by Mo’Nique. When Mo’Nique adopted the protected practice protesting bid discrimination, Netflix halted further negotiations and refused to negotiate in good faith, in line with its standard practice. ”

The complaint against Netflix also alleges a lack of “diversity”, including from the company’s board of directors. In the complaint, Mo’Nique said, “The company suffers from a lack of racial diversity in senior management and throughout the organization,” blaming the company’s “higher rankings” for race issues.
