Kerry Washington’s biblical-inspired podcast promotes social justice: Virgin Mary shares ‘every black parent’s fear’

Hollywood actress Kerry Washington’s new biblical-inspired podcast takes a comprehensive look at social justice and lays out the bizarre claim that the Virgin Mary now shares a special bond with black parents when it comes to worrying about her children’s safety.

Kerry Washington producer and star Prophecy It is a series of Audio drama podcasts that reimagines passages from the Old and New Testaments as contemporary stories, some of which are about social justice.

In one episode, Washington plays a modern woman who is pregnant and believes she is Mary, the mother of Jesus.

At one point, her characters say that the Mother of Jesus was able to empathize with “the fears every black parent feels the moment we bring a black child into this world.” News Week.

This phrase seems to resonate with Washington, a real-life mother. “The series pays homage to all mothers who dedicate their lives to the well-being and safety of their children,” Washington told the magazine.

The Joe Biden supporter did not elaborate, but the podcast appears to refer to the Black Lives Matter movement and refutes the left’s claim that police disproportionately and deliberately targeted black youth with this action.

Prophecy It emphasizes racial justice, and series creator Randy McKinnon told Variety that the podcast should be “honestly a love letter to black women.”

The main cast consists of minority actors such as Laurence Fishburne and Daniel Dae Kim.

The series also appears to be tackling the issue of climate change, albeit covertly, adding an unprecedented heatwave to the story.

“Many of us live in a world that defies explanation,” Washington said. News Week.. “We live in unprecedented times, each of us is desperately trying to understand what this means.”
