With striking changes to the front, new equipment and an even more refined interior, the first model entirely designed by DS Automobiles can now be ordered in Portugal. The renewed DS 7, the top-of-the-range SUV of the French brand, Prices will start at €50,530, and the entry price corresponds to the version equipped with the 130 hp 1.5 BlueHdiat the base team level, called Bastille.

DS 7 is renewed. Lose the cross back, gain power
Nevertheless, The main focus of the brand is on the plug-in hybrid mechanics (PHEV), to which is added a new more powerful variant, with 360 hp, which will join the already well-known 225 and 300 hp versions.. A novelty is also the reinforcement of the accumulator capacity, replacing the previous 13.2 kWh battery with another of 14.2 kWh, which allows the renewed French SUV to travel up to 65 km in electric mode, according to the WLTP homologation mixed cycle, or 81 km in urban cycle. The combustion engine at the service of the less powerful PHEVs is the 180 hp PureTech gasoline, complemented by an electric 110 hp, coupled to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The 300 and 360 hp PHEVs are the only ones that offer all-wheel drive thanks to the installation of two electric motors, one per axle. – 110 hp on the front axle and 112 hp on the rear axle. In both cases, the combustion engine is a 200 hp gasoline engine, so the difference in power is due exclusively to electronic management.
As a result of the tax benefits they enjoy, these versions promise to be the most popular, especially among business customers, with prices starting at €56,130. That is, about € 6,000 above the cheaper DS 7 diesel.

At last, the DS 7 E-Tense 4×4 360 is only available in the most enriched equipment levels, which have as exponent the La Première edition and maximum price (€76,230). Rivoli has a budget of €69,730 and the Opera costs €74,730. It should be noted that this DS 7, the most powerful in the range, has a chassis lowered by 15mm, wider tracks (24mm at the front and 10mm at the rear) and benefits from special DS Performance tuning. . It announces the 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and, depending on the brand, the 1000 meters are reached in 25.4 seconds.
