Imagine the astonishment of motorists driving along a quiet motorway, on their way to the office or shopping, when they suddenly felt that they were competing in a Formula 1 Grand Prix. Ferrari, decorated and all, where not even the sponsor was missing. historic Marlboro.
The formula in question was actually a GP2 car, a discipline that replaced the F3000 in 2005, and then left its place as an access modality to F1 in 2016, when the International Automobile Federation (FIA) returned to F2. But these GP2 cars, which won names like Nico Rosberg in 2005 and Lewis Hamilton the following year, were impressive machines, with a Dallara chassis and naturally aspirated 4.0 V8 engine, similar to those used by F1 in the past.
This V8, with 612 hp and capable of reaching 10,000 rpm, is associated with a six-speed Hewland semi-automatic sequential gearbox, which makes the GP2 extremely fast, since its weight does not exceed 688 kg. The images were initially published by a Twitter user, where you can see the GP2 disguised as a Ferrari with the “pilot” inside, dressed in full dress, helmet and racing suit.
And it is not the first time that it happens, it was recorded when it was done in 2019 and then they could not identify it either pic.twitter.com/O4rDQeV9w0

GP2 was caught driving on public roads in the center of the Czech Republic, which constitutes an illegal situation in several respects. In addition to the fact that the formula is not approved for driving on roads open to the public, the absence of lights and direction indicators, the “bald” tires (the slippery they don’t have holes to drain the water) and the excessive noise of the V8 (although exciting, for those who like it), among many other details, would require the policeman to have a ticket book to debut, since he would need many plates to punish the “skill” played by this driver who, apparently, is not even the first time he has committed a crime. Supposedly, they had already caught him in 2019 walking his GP2 on public roads.
