Some websites have announced that Chinese phone manufacturers are developing new technologies that can fully charge a phone’s battery in less than 10 minutes.
According to IXBT, “Chinese electronics newspaper Mydrivers quoted a reliable source as saying that phone manufacturers in China are currently developing new technologies to charge phones at high speeds and may rely on these technologies on chargers with a maximum capacity of 210 watts.”
The site noted that there are currently smartphones equipped with chargers that can quickly fill the full battery capacity. For example, the iQOO 10 Pro phone released last summer has a 200-watt charger, which can take the device’s battery from 0% to 10% in 10 minutes. It can be charged up to 100 and the expected Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is also expected to get a 210W ultra-fast charger.
The online Digital Chat Station channel said that “most smartphones coming out next year will receive ultra-fast charging technologies and 120-watt chargers.”
According to experts, the most important challenge in developing fast charging technologies for phones is to provide safe technologies so that batteries do not get damaged during charging.
