The Russian factory “Ural” has announced that it is conducting tests on new trucks equipped with environmental hybrid engines.
According to available information, the new trucks were presented to the Information and Analysis Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources and a number of Russian authorities, and experts praised the test results.
The new trucks, with four rear and two front wheels, are equipped with a hybrid system consisting of a natural gas internal combustion engine, generator, battery and electric motor. The internal combustion engine is charged only by the generator. connected to the battery.
Depending on the electric motor, the new truck can travel 100 km on a full charge of the battery, and if the internal combustion engine is used to charge the battery, the vehicle can travel up to 500 km per trip .
According to available information, Russia’s “Ural” plant is also working on a project to develop hybrid trucks that run on electricity and hydrogen fuel.
