The Russian “Poly-21” electronic warfare system intercepted Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles during a special military operation conducted by the Russian army in Ukraine.
Its main task is to put a barrier on jamming and silencing signals received from satellites, thanks to which the Ukrainian artillery, aircraft and missiles perform their tasks according to the coordinates they received.

The “Poly-21” electronic warfare system was designed 7 years ago at the Russian Scientific Center for Electronic Warfare.
The Russian magazine “Armysky Standard” (Military Standard) said that “Poly-21” is a promising system that immediately attracts the attention of specialists, thanks to the originality of the technologies applied to it and the extensive possibility that it is opened for use. tomorrow
It was used in Syria and at two Russian military bases in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
And in the twenties they began to be supplied to the Russian armed forces. The system deceives the opponent. However, unmanned aerial vehicles, missiles and aerial bombs, which are not connected to the source of the signals they direct, cannot fulfill the tasks assigned to them in reality. They failed to hit the targets and fell to the ground. Jamming centers entering the system paralyze the operation of devices that connect missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles to satellites and navigation systems.
The number of such centers in the system can reach 100 centers, each with an operating range of 25 kilometers.
Based on these centers, the “Poly-21” system deploys an umbrella with a range of 150 kilometers. In this case, the guided missile, march or air bomb will not be able to pass the electronic radio jamming barrier set by the system, even if it passes the air defense. Its designers believe that the continued use of the system in special military operations will allow it to be perfected and developed taking into account all emerging technologies and technical ideas.
