Bad weather. Civil Protection records 139 occurrences until 4:00 p.m.

The National Authority for Emergencies and Civil Protection (ANEPC) recorded 139 events related to bad weather, such as falling trees, small floods and water rescues, according to a source from that entity, until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 8. June.

The events occurred, essentially, “in the north of the country, even registering records in Greater Lisbon and the Setúbal peninsula,” added the source, who indicated that it was in the Subregional Command of the Metropolitan Area of ​​Porto that “registered the highest volume of occurrences: 23”.

Regarding the type of occurrences, he said that they were “floods, road cleaning, collapse of structures, two mass movements and three aquatic rescues.”

According to the ANEPC source, these occurrences involved “569 operating assets and 199 pieces of land.”

About the next few hours, he said that the forecast is that the current conditions will continue until the next morning.

Almost all the districts of continental Portugal are on Thursday with yellow weather warnings due to the forecast of sometimes heavy showers, occasionally hail.
