“On Tuesday we will see an increase of between five and six degrees and on Wednesday it will rise again by the same order of magnitude. The lows will only increase on Wednesday, and cold mornings are expected for Monday and Tuesday,” he said.

According to Pedro Sousa, since Tuesday Maximum temperatures above 25 degrees are expected, being equal to or above 30 in the Alentejo, the Southern Region and the Tagus Valley.

“This change is due to the predominance of an easterly current starting next Tuesday, May 7, associated with the existence of an anticyclonic core on the surface over the Bay of Biscay and the British Isles, and an anticyclonic crest at altitude over the Peninsula.
