On Thursday, MSNBC “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough responded to threats against Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) and other House Selection Committee members on Jan.
“Trumpism is fascism,” Scarborough said, adding that the threats are further proof that fascism is “on the rise in America.”
“Trumpism is fascism,” Scarborough said. “If you look at January 6, if you look at the scenes of violence, if you look at the threats of violence, if you look at the death threats, we’ve seen it many times. Go back and glorify violence at their rallies, urging people to beat the protesters, looking forward to the day when people will be carried on stretchers, and if someone is beaten against a protester, we’ve seen it many times over. If you look at Donald Trump… the defense funds, speaking on behalf of the police, order them to beat and whip the people they arrest before throwing them in the back of a grain cart.
Just looking at January 6, he glorifies the losers to the police, and the families of the police will say that he is responsible for the deaths of more than one police officer,” he said. “It is glorification of violence. This is extreme nationalism. This is fascism. And it is growing in America.”
