Baking brothers

Av. Casal Ribeiro 53b, 1000-091 Lisbon. Every day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Sundays until 3 p.m.

To join the brotherhood: Born from the desire of two brothers to bring the concept of chunky cookies to Lisbon, Bake Bros arrived in Saldanha on June 14 to introduce American cookie fans to other, slightly different cookies. On the outside they are common, but it is on the inside where they differ. Mixed with unlikely ingredients, it took 56 attempts to arrive at the recipe that Francisco and Manuel created. Once ready, all I had to do was put my creativity to work. The result? Crispy cookies on the outside and clingy inside with flavors like miso and white chocolate, matcha, red velvet and marshmallow and oats.
