Lérias are one of the most famous convent sweets in Amarante and give their name to Casa das Lérias, a historic building from 1930.

Listening to piano in a palace: The new Piano Cycle at the Palaces of Sintra bids farewell to the National Palaces of Sintra and Queluz on the weekend of 12, 13 and 14 July with three recitals spread across three different venues. In homage to the musician and pianist Viana da Mota, António Rosado will take to the stage at the Sala do Trono in Queluz on Friday, followed by Luísa Tender at the Sala dos Cisnes in Sintra on Saturday, and Artur Pizarro, who will end on Sunday, again in the Sala do Trono. Somersby out jazz
