“Great turmoil” … North Korea deaths due to “fever”

On Sunday, North Korea counted 15 more “fever” deaths after the country announced it had the first case of corona on its soil and officials rushed to close measures.

A total of 42 deaths and 820,620 injuries have been reported in North Korea, with at least 324,550 receiving medical care, the official North Korean news agency reported.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un said the outbreak had caused “great unrest” in the country.

Although North Korea has activated the “Maximum Emergency Epidemic Prevention System” to slow the spread of the virus among unvaccinated citizens, tens of thousands of cases are reported in North Korea every day.

“More than 174,440 people contracted the fever on Friday alone, of which at least 81,430 recovered and 21 died nationwide,” the official North Korean news agency said on Friday.

And officials confirmed Thursday that the highly contagious Omicron mutant has been identified in Pyongyang, and that leader Kim Jong Un has ordered a nationwide quarantine.

This was the first official confirmation of coronary heart disease, and signaled the failure of two years of costly closure measures since the outbreak.

And the health system in North Korea is worn out, and experts say it is one of the worst in the world, and experts say it lacks the necessary medicines and equipment.

In the absence of anti-coronary vaccines, antiviral drugs or the ability to conduct large-scale trials, experts warn that North Korea will face many problems in response to the widespread outbreak.
