President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, during a meeting of the Collective Security Treaty in Moscow in the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin, noted that “the unipolar world is gone forever and the West is trying to maintain its influence”, explaining that “we have been working on a solution since 2014. The crisis in Ukraine is still with us, but they are poisoning the problem.”

He pointed out that “the West and Washington have a desire to prolong the crisis, and the goal is known”, stressing that “we have previously demonstrated the ability of this organization to guarantee the safety of its members”, explaining that “in violation of all laws, the West is working to to prevent Russia’s participation in international organizations.

Lukashenka expressed confidence that “hellish sanctions would not have been imposed if we had formed a united front against them”, stressing that “it is impossible to form an international security structure without us.”

He asked: “What is needed to strengthen the work of the CSTO at the present time?” He stated: “We are observing attempts to divide Ukraine,” and added: “We are studying proposals for organizing the work of the CSTO and we hope for the support of all members.”

A summit of leaders of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is taking place in Moscow, at which it is planned to discuss improving the peacekeeping potential of the organization, as well as strengthening military cooperation between its members.
