The Court of Qatar stated that Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani discussed with the President of the Republic of Slovenia Borut Pahor the bilateral cooperation relations between the two countries, as well as ways to support and develop them in various political, investment, economic, cultural and tourism fields, during the official session negotiations at the Presidential Palace in the capital Ljubljana, where the Emir of Qatar is making his first official visit to the Republic of Slovenia.

In a statement, the Court indicated that “the two sides discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest and prospects for Qatari-Slovenian cooperation.” He added: “Following the talks, both parties witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Qatar Holding and Spirit Agency to encourage entrepreneurship, foreign investment and technology in Slovenia.”

In joint statements following the results of bilateral talks, the Emir of Qatar noted that his talks with the President of Slovenia were constructive and would contribute to the development of relations between the two countries at various levels, especially in the areas of politics, economy, trade, energy and infrastructure. and tourism.

He stated, “During the talks, I discussed with the president the latest developments in regional and international developments, especially the latest developments in Europe and the Middle East.”

For his part, the President of Slovenia expressed “the expectation of positive results from the visit of the Emir of Qatar and the development of relations on a broader horizon, especially with promising investment opportunities for the two countries and cooperation in the field of energy.”

Yesterday, Sunday, the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad, began a European tour that includes the countries of Slovenia, Spain, Germany, Britain and France, as well as Switzerland, to attend the “Davos Economic Forum”, from May 22-26.
