London (Scotland Yard) announced on Thursday that it was closing an investigation into violations of lockdown rules during Downing Street concerts and issuing additional fines.
Police announced that the investigation, which began in January, fined 126 people for events that occurred on eight different dates during the initial closure due to the Corona pandemic.
Twenty -eight people received two to five fines.
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has already paid a fine and it is not yet known if he will receive any further punishment.
The BBC reported that the closure of the investigation paved the way for the publication of the full report at the closed meetings of civil service officer Sue Gray.
Earlier, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson offered his “full apology” after insisting he would not resign from his post after he was fined for parties held during quarantine.
Johnson became the first incumbent prime minister to be punished for breaking the law, and Johnson’s wife, Carey, and Finance Minister Rishi Sunak were also fined.
