Former FBI Chief Counsel James A. Baker testified on Thursday, former Hillary Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann said when Donald Trump reported allegations of complicity in Russia he told him he wasn’t working for a client.
Special Counsel John H. Durham v. Suessman, who explained that Trump is connected with Russia through Alfa Bank. The FBI investigated this claim and found it unfounded.
Durham prosecutors told the court that Sussmann intended to disclose the “October Surprise” against Trump in the 2016 election. In fact, current Clinton deputy National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan made a statement about the accusations that Clinton tweeted in October 2016.

The tweet comes days after FBI Director James Comey announced that he would reopen his investigation into Clinton’s misuse of a private email server during his tenure as Secretary of State and days before the election.
Durham announced during the pre-trial proceedings that he received a text message from Suessman requesting an urgent meeting to Baker, adding: “I will come myself – not on behalf of a client or company – to help the Bureau.”
On Thursday, Baker confirmed the authenticity of the report, adding additional statements confirming the testimony of previous FBI witnesses, all of whom said they believed or had been told Sussmann acted on his own.
Sussmann allegedly worked for the Clinton campaign at the time and withheld this information.
How New York Post He states that the result of Sussman’s alleged lies was that the FBI treated him as a trusted confidential source, which meant that the FBI did not conduct further investigations to determine the source of Sussman’s information.

Judge Christopher Cooper, appointed by Barack Obama, has been criticized for making several decisions in favor of the defense, including refusing to expel jurors who donated to Democrats. A judge on Thursday refused to dismiss a jury whose daughter was in the rowing group at the same school as Suessman’s son.
Baker was under investigation for allegedly leaking FBIO information to the media.
