At least 14 bodies have been recovered from the wreckage of a plane that crashed into a mountain in Nepal with more than 22 people on board, the country’s Civil Aviation Authority said on Monday.

“Fourteen bodies have been recovered so far, and the search for the others continues. The weather is very bad, but we managed to get a team to the accident site. No further flights were possible,” spokesman Deo Chandra Lal Karn told Agence France-Presse (AFP) news agency.
The authorities had already announced on Monday the discovery of the remains of the plane.
“A rescue team located the wreckage of the plane and shared a photo. Other teams have been sent to the site so we can get more details.Nepal Army spokesman Narayan Silwal said.
The plane, with more than 20 people on board, was on a 15-minute flight on a tourist route when it was reported missing in a mountainous area of Nepal, between Pokhara and Jomsom.
It is a popular route with foreigners who walk the mountain trails and also with Indian and Nepalese pilgrims who visit the Muktinath temple.
