U.S. officials say three people were killed and at least 11 were injured in a gun attack Saturday night in the northeastern city of Philadelphia.
Police inspector DF Pace told a news conference that while police officers were patrolling the South Street area of downtown Philadelphia, known for its entertainment and nightlife, just before midnight they heard several gunshots. and saw several suspects shoot at a large crowd.

Pace said a police officer shot one of the suspects from 9 meters away, but it was unclear if the suspect was shot.
He explained that the dead were two men and a woman, and did not disclose the names of the authorities. The status of those injured in the accident is not yet known.
Police said no arrests were made and two pistols were found.
