The Ministry of Trade and Industry of Kuwait launched a campaign against homosexual slogans in the country, represented by the six-color flag.

The ministry called in a social media statement to “participate in the ‘Participate in Censorship’ campaign and inform it if any slogans or sentences are found calling for or implying a violation of public morals”, and explained that “the regular colors of the spectrum contain seven colors, while the flag, contrary to public morality, contains only six colors.

The Kuwait Foreign Ministry has announced the call for Acting Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy Jim Holzneider amid reports of homosexuality. She stated that Abdullatif Al-Ahmad, Assistant Secretary of State for American Affairs at the ministry, served Hollistider with a memorandum “confirming the State of Kuwait’s opposition to what was published.”

Earlier, the US Embassy tweeted an excerpt from US President Joe Biden’s statements accompanied by homosexuality and commented with the words: “In defense of the rights of LGBT people, Biden said: “All people deserve respect, dignity and the ability to live without fear, no matter who them.” or those they love.
