The Iraqi Intelligence Agency indicated that “when the leaders of ISIS and its elements and terrorist gangs thought the desert would be a refuge from Iraqi eyes, the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency officials in the Interior Ministry were disappointed after these brave people turned. The desert will turn into hell for these leaders and criminal elements.”

The statement said that “Intelligence Directorate men ambushed the so-called Governor of Anbar, nicknamed ‘Abu Mansour’, and three of his comrades, and after they were under surveillance and in coordination with the Joint Operations Command’s targeting cell, and according to confirmed reports their place of movement in the desert of Anbar was dealt with precise blows. It turned them into lifeless corpses.”

The agency indicated that “this murdered terrorist criminal is believed to be one of those responsible for attacks on civilians on the international highway in the Al-Rutba area, as well as working in several positions and moving between Iraq and Syria,” stressing that “with such a great achievement, which the Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency has lost: “ISIS terrorist gangs are one of its very important criminal leaders.”
