Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the leaders of the seven largest world economies (G7) by videoconference, in a closed-door session, of which only some initial images were broadcast without sound.

However, and according to information provided by German and European Union (EU) sources, cited by the Spanish news agency EFE, the Ukrainian leader raised these requests during his speech.
The intervention of the Ukrainian president opened the second day of the G7 summit, which has been taking place since Sunday in the Bavarian Alps, which, according to US sources, will agree to new sanctions against Russia, which launched a military offensive against Ukraine on February 24.

Under the presidency of Germany, the leaders of Canada, the United States, France, Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom, as well as the EU, also participate in the G7 meeting.
