131 days have passed since the Russian invasion of Ukraine began. After Volodymyr Zelensky on Sunday confirmed the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from Lysychansk, the last major city in the Luhansk region under Ukrainian rule, the British Ministry of Defense said the Donetsk region is likely to be the next big target of Russia. In Monday’s update on the situation in Ukraine, the UK warned of the impact the conflict continues to have on Ukraine’s agricultural sector and exports.

During the early morning, several towns in the Kharkiv region were bombarded by the invading army. In the Shevchenkiv district, a high school was destroyed. There are no reports of casualties, the regional governor said. The Russians reportedly destroyed an ammunition depot in Snizhne, east of Donetsk, tonight.

In Switzerland, a two-day conference to discuss the reconstruction of Ukraine begins on Monday. The initiative will include the participation of more than a thousand country leaders and representatives of international organizations and the private sector. Volodymyr Zelensky will participate via videoconference.
