Spanish player Gerard Pique’s troubles over his breakup with Colombian singer Shakira continue both on the football pitch and in press reports that are curiously investigating the causes of the rift.
Video clips show huge fans chanting “Shakira Shakira” during a friendly match between Barcelona and Real Madrid at Algent Stadium in Nevada, US.

During this match, the Blaugrana defeated the Royal Club with a single goal from Rafinha, a Brazilian player who had recently joined Barcelona.
And the audience applauded Shakira in a message to Pique, who split from the Colombian singer after a long relationship in which they had two children.
One commentator wrote on Twitter that Pique, who is 35 years old, deserved all the chants against him on the pitch.
Another stated that Barcelona’s head coach, Xavi himself, did not find any solution to these slogans and therefore only laughed at the events inside the field.
This summer, Pique and Shakira announced their separation, while some reports attributed the reason to the player’s “betrayal” of his life partner.
When Barcelona player Jordi Alba was asked after the game about the chants directed at his colleague, he tried to downplay it, saying: “The Catalan defender was not affected by it.”
Alba added: It’s true that we heard these slogans, but I don’t think Pique is worried about this, we know him.
Alba confirmed that Pique’s nature is that he is more motivated when he whistles than when he is cheered.
He pointed out that Pique had known about this for a long time, joy, and then quipped: “I don’t think he’s sleepless because they’ve done it.”
