The Iranian Foreign Ministry stressed that “the UK and France must put pressure on their ally to make the necessary decisions to reach a sustainable agreement.”
Yaqub Reza Zadeh, a member of the National Security Committee of the Iranian Parliament, indicated that “a new round of nuclear talks is likely to take place in Vienna in the near future.” He explained that “the members of the National Security Committee have held meetings over the past few days with the head of the Iranian nuclear negotiating team, Ali Bagheri Kani, and taking into account the efforts of the European parties to complete the negotiations on the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action.”
Earlier, chief Iranian negotiator Ali Bagheri Kani indicated that “our proposals are aimed at correcting the difficult situation that has arisen as a result of Washington’s withdrawal from the nuclear agreement,” saying: “We have submitted proposals and ideas to facilitate the conclusion of the negotiations in Vienna on the nuclear agreement.” Bagheri Kani said, “We are coordinating with our nuclear deal partners to give Washington an opportunity to prove its goodwill,” stressing that “we are ready to take final steps in a short time if the other side is ready for it.” “
