Deputy head of the Ukrainian Agrarian Council Denis Marchuk said that by the end of August, grain exports from his country could reach 4 million tons, which is more than 50 percent of the level before the start of the Russian military operation in Ukraine. He explained that his country currently has a very good volume of grain exports, noting that “Ukraine managed to export almost 3 million tons in July last year.”

It is noteworthy that on July 22, during a meeting in Istanbul, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine and the UN signed an initiative document for the safe shipment of grain and food from Ukrainian ports.

The agreement provided for the export of grain stuck in Ukrainian ports on the Black Sea (Eastern Europe) to other countries of the world. Many countries of the world are suffering from a grain crisis as a result of the impossibility of leaving Ukrainian ports for cargo ships due to the Russian-Ukrainian war that has erupted since February 24.
