Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba stressed that the success of the counterstrike against Russian forces shows that Ukraine can “defeat” these forces, but it needs more weapons from partners.

Kuleba, who spoke at a joint press conference with German Foreign Minister Annalena Bierbock, added that some allies were reluctant to start arms shipments, citing the risk of antagonizing Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He continued: “Now… we don’t hear that argument anymore… We have shown that we can defeat the Russian army. We do this with the weapons we have been given, so I repeat that the more weapons we get, the sooner we will achieve victory and the sooner this war will end.”

Kuleba, who has previously criticized Germany for what he says is slow arms deliveries, complained that Ukraine is paying the price for internal discussions.

“Every day, while someone in Berlin is looking for and receiving advice or advice, whether to give tanks or not … someone dies in Ukraine as a result of the fact that the tank did not arrive,” he said.
