“Black Spider’s Diary”…how will it affect King Charles?

King Charles has his own views on many issues and topics, from organic farming to climate change and education to modern architecture, and for years the monarch has refused to keep his views within royal protocol.

He flouted protocol that binds the British royal family to neutrality, and the heir to the throne has previously been called a “meddling prince” for voicing his views on elected British officials and his opinion on world events. By the New York Post website.

One of those occasions when he expressed his views was in March 2022, when he publicly described Russia’s military operation in Ukraine as a “barbaric aggression” and criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin for causing “suffering”. and terrible destruction” he criticized.

Also, during a royal visit to Canada in 2014, Charles compared the Russian president to Nazi leader Adolf Hitler after Russia annexed Crimea in March of that year.

The highlight, however, was in 2015 when he publicly revealed a series of letters Charles wrote to former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and other lawmakers after a decade-long legal battle.

The letters, called the Black Spider Diaries, contained 27 letters, 10 of which were written by the prince.

In a letter dated 8 September 2004, Charles described to Blair his visit to the army in Northern Ireland and criticized the Prime Minister’s use of the British Lynx helicopter.

The letters were described as “black spiders” in reference to Charles’s cobwebs in black ink, although many of the letters were printed with some personal notes by Charles.

In parallel, in August 2021, Charles publicly criticized the country’s business leaders, telling them they needed to do more to save the planet “before it’s too late”.

He added that the “only hope” for humanity is for the world’s business elite to join world leaders in an “epic battle” to avert climate catastrophe.

Despite his public opinion as the Prince of Wales, Charles said he had vowed to keep his views to himself once he became king.

In 2018, during a documentary to mark his 70th birthday, he told the BBC that he would stop speaking in public after becoming king.

However, at least one royal expert believes that all of his views on the environment, the military, and architecture, among other things, are correct.

It is worth mentioning that the 73-year-old Charles was officially announced as the King of the United Kingdom, succeeding his mother Queen Elizabeth II, who died last Thursday.
